Graduation custom cookies | Good Luck Camryn! | MH Cookie Shoppe #CookiesBringJoy
Whenever I am asked about my creative process I struggle to answer. I am a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of gal. Maybe it is the “artist” in me or maybe it is that nothing in my life has come easily so I don’t commit to things too early to allow for some space for things to fall into place.
One thing I love is scrolling through Pinterest for a color palette that matches the aesthetic I want. From there, I include at least one shape that allows for something I can freestyle, in this case it was the grad gowns. I opted to use a tone-on-tone animal print background which I tied to other cookies like the banner and pink “grad” cookies. Doing half the grad gown on the rectangles gave this design a modern twist.
People may think I am a little crazy how caught up on details I get but I truly want each design to include something meaningful. In Camryn’s design, she survived a life-threatening crash about a year ago. She is a walking miracle and truly “clothed in strength and dignity.”
Lastly, I am so lucky to have my friend Kat visiting this week and helping me take better photos.
Also many thanks to Robin for allowing me to make this creation for her girl.
